Qsw within Adult Mental Health(Location: North Lond)

We have an exciting new position available for a QSW within Adult Mental Health in North London.

Duties include:
1. A good knowledge of the key principles of the National Health Services & Community Care Act, and the 1983 Mental Health Act, particular the aftercare responsibilities of section 117.
2. And other relevant Social Services legislation and guidance relating to the provision of services for adult client groups, and in particular people with mental health problems.
3. Ability to work effectively when undertaking this project work.
4. Ability to liaise effectively with community health mental services, and independent sector staff and providers in Islington and outside the Borough in providing a social work service to individual adult clients with mental health problems.
5. Ability to exercise appropriate professional judgement as to when specialist advice needs to be sought and senior management briefed on sensitive or difficult issues.
6. Ability to undertaken a good standard of report writing, which can be used in with a legal context and recording of work undertaken.
7. Ability recording are carried out and that recording standards for manual and computer information collection are adhered to.
8. Ability to effectively liaise with Primary Care, other statutory partners and the non-statutory sector to ensure individual care needs are appropriately met.
9. Ability to establish and maintain effective systems to manage ones own work
10. Ability to use a computer for inputting and extraction of data and word processing, with training where necessary.
11. Ability to adhere to the Council’s Equal Opportunities Employment Policy, ensuring that services are developed and delivered within an Equal Opportunities framework and according to the Council’s quality standards.

Pay rate is up to £26 per hour.

GSCC Registration is essential.
